A Tapestry of Faith Adult Program:
Harvest the Power: Lay Leadership Development

Program Description

The Lifespan Faith Development staff group of the Unitarian Universalist Association is seeking congregations to field-test a new religious education program for adults. Through a series of workshops led within each congregation, participants understand their faith more deeply, develop leadership skills and techniques to apply to their congregation, and address issues such as self-care, pastoral care, organizational management and service. Based on Unitarian Universalist Principles and values, the program encourages reflection on a sense of the Beloved Community.

Timeline

The field-test for this curriculum will be conducted between January 2009 and June 2009.

Applications are due by December 12, 2008.

Field-tests must be completed by June 30, 2009.

Note: The Harvest the Power program will not be generally available online until spring 2009, but field testers will receive advance electronic copies beginning in December, 2008.
